L’Atelier Arts Sciences & CEA Grenoble. In Autumn 2002, Hexagone launches the Rencontres-i Festival of Imagination“, a cultural event bringing together artists, scientists and firms.
Their objective is to cross imaginations and boost creativity. Since the first edition of the festival, CEA has been providing its contribution to realizing this groundbreaking experience. Having co-organized four festivals and numerous shared projects, the two organizations joined in a mutual commitment to go further in this cross-fertilization by founding the Atelier Arts Sciences in 2007, a research and experimentation platform shared by artists and scientists.

The electronic.art-foundation is an independent association which devotes its attention to the 7th art. We foster art at the crossroads of zeitgeist and digital innovation, taking consciousness to an entire new level with limitless creativity and technology – across all generations.
Our allies are highly involved partners who support us with outstanding artists. We create noninstitutional spaces where the public experiences moments beyond all senses. Our platform is built upon a trinity of partners: the electronic.art-foundation itself which orchestrates the collaborations and partnerships who support specific projects such as the Locarno Festival.

The art becoming part of the art
The electronic-art.foundation is driven by the aim to initiate, promote and support outstanding projects in the fields of the 7th art. We foster outstanding artists who produce works in tune with the zeitgeist, pushing the limits of their art form by driving innovation within digital, video and media art, where analog and digital electronics are infused by other art forms such as architecture, performance art or music.
The foundation serves as a platform to promote the recognition of this art form among a wider audience by supporting projects through its partnerships and vast network. In its core function, it enables the realization of projects within the framework of existing festivals and large-scale events, e.g. the Locarno Festival. The electronic.art-foundation is conceptualizing traveling cubes to showcase selected works on the road, and for artists, it offers residencies to provide space for artistic freedom.
To fulfill our mission, we are building a solid network of donors, sponsors and ambassadors in order to support outstanding emerging artists and realize innovative projects. We are putting together a circle of passionate experts within our fields of interest.
As a platform, the foundation thus channels electrified energies in favor of the 7th art. The vision is to create an energized platform, a non-institutional space, where new artistic work is developed, presented and above all, experienced. We endeavor to share electrifying moments. Our commitment is based on openness and transparency in order to provide a holistic experience accessible to all. As part of our inner circle, donors, supporters and ambassadors participate in unique events and experience moments that go beyond all senses.
