He scored the brawl between a man and a bear, gave sound to Buddha’s silence and worked with David Bowie. That alone should be enough to realize how beautiful and powerful the 2020 Vision Award Ticinomoda is on the Locarno Festival.

This installation creates a landscape of real fog and electronic sound, that merge with the environment and create an all together new experience. Edwin van der Heide is an artist and researcher in the field of sound, space and interaction. He extends the terms composition and musical language into spatial, interactive and interdisciplinary directions. TO BE PART OF THE ART
In the EAFproductions, the common thread running through our creative work has always been that of «to be part of the art».
Whether from the «melting Electronic-art with environment» installation in the nature reserve and northernmost rice field in Europe, the «Castello del Sole Ascona», or in the presentation of the «fog sound environment» art off-space as part of the «Signs of Life» film category on the 70th anniversary of the Locarno Festival.
THE COLLECTIVE EXPERIENCE
The collective – and generation-spanning experience – is intended to provide impulses and, for a short period of time, to stimulate all six senses. Senses that are increasingly threatening to become stunted and dulled in this far too quickly spinning world.
ART, SCIENCE LABORATORY HUB
In the last few months, our international foundation has made an expedient decision to focus on our «to be part of the art» approach by illustrating the melting of «art & science» with botanic gardens. That’s why, in spring 2020, we will be moving our HQ from Zurich to Lake Maggiore in Italy, where the «art, science Laboratory HUB» at LABELLATROVATA will be launched.
Get electrified! and let’s meet up either next week at our VINUM EVENT or, at the latest, next summer at our opening event of the project closest to our heart, «LABELLATROVATA art, science LABORATORY HUB at Lake Maggiore in Northern ITALY ».
In gleeful anticipation,
turning electricity into art.
Yours truly, Walter Hügli

ARTISTS DESERVE TO BE PAID FOR THE VALUE THEY CREATE.
The electronic.art-foundation is an independent association which devotes its attention to the 7th art – fostering artists and creating new spaces to make the electronic arts accessible to a wider audience, involving partners to create electrifying experiences.
We create non-institutional spaces for creativity and interaction, for exhibitions and art projects dealing with social changes and issues concerning digital culture and employing digital techniques. The vision is to create an energized platform, where new artistic work is developed, presented and above all, experienced. Beside the electronic-art.spaces, we promote artists enabling residencies and we foster international projects in order to make the 7th art accessible to everyone.
Are you looking for unexpected partakes and inspiring encounters? Then become a passionate circle member now! You enjoy benefits like the VIP Opening of the Locarno Festival or any future VIP opening. At the same time you enable unique Zeitgeist moments to inspire others! Why wait?
The electronic.art-foundation is an independent association which devotes its attention to the 7th art. We create non-institutional spaces where the public experiences moments beyond all senses. We aim to provide not only access to a wider audience but also to get actively involved and serve as an enabler of creative work, its diffusion and recognition. The electronic.art-foundation receives the indispensable support of ambassadors who help make our circles grow. And last, but not least, our electronic.art-circles are there to get you electrified too.
